Tranay LaShaun Tanner was born on May 21, 1990, in Indianapolis, Indiana to Gregory Dennis Tanner and Wendy Tranay Kahill. She graduated from the United States Air Force Academy, Colorado Springs, Colorado in 2012 where she received her commission and went on to serve in seven different active duty assignments, fulfilling her lifelong dream to travel the world.
On August 17, 2019, Tranay went home to be with the Lord. She left a huge impression on all who knew her, she loved to laugh, eat great food, shop and spend time with her family and friends. She brightened whatever space she was in with her love and joyous spirit. Tranay was a woman who respectfully feared the Lord and was worthy to be praised.
The Tranay Tanner Memorial Scholarship Fund was created to ensure the compassion and persistency that Tranay displayed everyday of her life would continue through the lives of many others. She was focused, humble and blessed. Her scholarship fund is designed to provide a helping hand to high school seniors who desire to pursue
higher education and earn their college degree. Tranay believed in giving 100% everyday, towards every goal, forevery person and we are determined to carry on her legacy.
